Definitions
The Publisher: Host8r (the “Company”), the legal entity providing hosting and management of self-hosted n8n containers and related automation services.
The Site: All websites, web pages, and online services operated by Host8r, including the main domain host8r.com
.
The User: Any individual or organization using the Site or Host8r’s hosting services, regardless of their country of residence.
1. Nature of Collected Data
- Technical connection data: IP address, logs, browser type, operating system, connection times.
- Account data: email address, billing and payment details, support messages.
- Service usage data: information related to hosted containers, uptime, and performance metrics.
No sensitive personal data (such as health, religious beliefs, or biometric data) is collected or processed.
2. Purpose of Data Collection
- Providing, managing, and maintaining the hosting services.
- Ensuring service reliability, security, and technical support.
- Handling billing, accounting, and legal obligations.
- Improving the performance and user experience of the platform.
Host8r does not sell or share user data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes.
3. Identity Data Collection
Access to the public website (host8r.com
) does not require prior registration. Personal information is only collected when creating an account, subscribing to a service, or contacting customer support. These data are collected solely to provide the service and communicate with you as a customer.
4. Technical and Device Data
When visiting the Site, some technical information from your device is automatically collected (IP address, device type, browser, operating system, etc.). This data is required for site and service security, performance analysis and optimization, and proper delivery of hosted services.
Host8r does not use tracking cookies for advertising or profiling.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: retained for the duration of the contract + up to 5 years (for legal accounting obligations).
- Logs and technical data: retained for a maximum of 12 months.
- Backups: retained for a limited period, then securely deleted or anonymized.
6. Account and Data Deletion
Users can request the deletion of their account and associated data at any time by writing to contact@host8r.com. Requests will be processed within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with GDPR Article 17 (“Right to Erasure”).
Host8r reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in case of violation of the Terms of Use or security policies.
7. Data Hosting and International Users
Host8r’s infrastructure is physically located within the European Union, primarily in data centers operated by Hostinger International Ltd., a GDPR-compliant provider.
- All customer data (n8n containers, backups, logs) are stored and processed in the EU.
- Host8r serves customers worldwide, but data remains hosted in the EU to ensure GDPR-level protection.
- If data must be transferred outside the EU (e.g., for support tools or integrations), Host8r ensures appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or an adequacy decision under GDPR.

8. Security Measures
- TLS encryption for all communications.
- Secure access control and two-factor authentication for administrators.
- Regular encrypted backups and recovery testing.
- Strict data access policies for staff and subcontractors.
These measures are designed to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data.
9. Privacy Policy Updates
Host8r may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in legislation, services, or technical operations. Users will be notified of any significant modification by email or website notice. Host8r commits not to reduce the level of data protection without prior notification and consent when required by law.
10. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
This Privacy Policy is governed by European Union law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In the event of a dispute, users may first contact Host8r to seek an amicable resolution. Failing agreement, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts under applicable EU and French law.
